Ireland
Having a few drinks after a tough game is part of the rugby tradition. What better place to do this than in Ireland, home of Guinness?
Ireland can also offer a lot more than the great pubs and nightlife. The country boasts amazing sceneries as well as many sites of high historical and cultural importance.
Belfast offers you the opportunity to see first hand the signs of extreme hardship suffered by the Irish people in the first part of the century. The many UFF murals and the Dockyard (where the Titanic was built) are a painful reminder of those by-gone times.

Dublin is a vibrant city that has developed enormously in the past few years. It is guaranteed to provide all the essentials of a great rugby tour (great hospitality, great rugby and great nightlife.) Dublin also offers a range of sights from the Dublin Castle, the National Gallery of Ireland as well as Trinity College, home of some of the world’s most famous writers.
Galway is a destination chosen by many schools because of the beautiful scenery and great rugby. When in Galway you must visit the beautiful cliffs of Moher, recently made famous by their inclusion in a couple of the Harry Potter films and nominated as a finalist for the natural wonders of the world competition!
Cork, has a unique, diverse and extremely welcoming culture. This is highlighted by the fact that it was named the European Capital of culture in 2005. In Cork you will be able to visit the blarney stone. Legend has it that if you kiss it, whilst being held upside down you will receive the “gift of gab.”
Some of the must see sights are the Royal Gunpowder Mills, where the majority of British gunpowder was produce from as early as the 17th Century.
Alternatively Kinsale offers you the chance to visit the old garrison town and stroll around the ancient buildings, before visiting the castle. Kinsale is also the host of one of the biggest rugby sevens competitions in Europe. It makes the ideal getaway for a short tour.
