France provides a great short haul destination. Their strong rugby pedigree mixed with the great weather, beaches and facilities in the south of France makes it an ideal location to travel to. No wonder so many premiership players are flocking there!

As with Italy, France is a country bursting with culture, medieval cities, great food and great wine. In France there are activities and sights aimed at every age group.

The Loire valley with its many beautiful castles is ideal for younger age groups. Alternatively St. Tropez and Cannes make the ultimate holiday destination for people who enjoy partying.

In Paris you will be able to enjoy the many museums as well as visiting the Eiffel Tower. For the younger age groups, a tour to Disneyland is always a plus.

Tips
Like Italy, France is very seasonal. The time of travel will dictate the activities you can take part in and the cost of these activities. Easter time would be a good chance to travel as it is considered by many tourist agencies to be low-season, meaning that it can be inexpensive to see some of the great sights.

However, travelling at this period in time means that the weather is not quite warm enough to enjoy the beaches but it is too hot to try and include some skiing
